Mistletoe Bay is a beautiful, former Conservation Campsite on the Queen Charlotte Track.
Management of the campsite and foreshore reserve was taken over by the Mistletoe Bay Trust on June 3 2004. The Trust has the guiding principle that Mistletoe Bay should remain accessible to all.

The development of the bay is a wide reaching community project which has 4 new double-unit Whare (cabins) each with a bathroom, sleeping and living areas for up to 5. A new communal meeting house adjacent contains refrigerated storage, together with shared cooking and dining facilities.

The project reflects a truly community effort in creating an eco-friendly, sustainable tourist, conference and educational facility using the latest technology in recycling, solar power, water conservation and waste water treatment. Your participation as an individual or Company in the on-going funding of this exciting project is welcomed.

The Trust hopes that everyone will make use of the site; day trippers, family picnickers,  holiday campers, commercial tourist operators,  Queen Charlotte Track walkers, and school and corporate groups.Every cent generated by the site goes directly back into improving and maintaining it for future generations.

The Trust continues to work closely with the NZ Department of Conservation.
