Volunteers

Volunteers

Mistletoe Bay has no paid employees as such. All labour not undertaken by the managers is executed by volunteers who are engaged directly by the site managers. The volunteers are an integral and important part of the organisation and the system has now been in operation for three years.

The Trust acknowledges the very important contribution of volunteers in all aspects of the operation.

Duties are both varied and interesting, and include conservation projects, caring for animals, general resort duties, contact with guests etc. There is a Volunteers' Duties & Conditions document which is an agreement by and between the volunteer and the on-site managers prior to the commencement of any volunteer effort at the Bay.

Volunteers' sleeping quarters are located on the ground floor of the managers' residence; however they have free and constant access to the managers' living quarters.

Meals are generally taken with and supplied by the site managers. Other benefits include internet access and the use of a special volunteer's cell phone.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer at Mistletoe Bay please contact our managers Chris and Janna George stay@mistletoebay.co.nz or phone 021 131 8283
