Cooking and food preparation for whare guests is restricted to the new communal kitchen adjacent to the whare. This facility can also be used for food storage and refrigeration. Your whare key allows access to this facility. We do ask that you keep the kitchen locked when not in use as it is reserved for the use of whare occupiers only. Please respect the kitchen rules displayed in the kitchen.
Most importantly, please follow our directions regarding the recycling of all waste created in the kitchen. Instructions are posted on the walls. The recycling disposal area is located behind the kitchen. Read our Waste Disposal and Recycling page for more information.
Catering for small groups is available on request. Please contact the site managers.
Cooking and food preparation for campers is restricted to the camp kitchen adjacent to the ablutions block. Please respect other guests and clean up after yourselves.
We have coin-operated solar hot water showers. Please keep this facility clean and tidy at all times.
We aim to have our brand new store up and running by the end of November 2011.
We have a new 15 metre floating pontoon which makes loading and unloading of passengers and luggage much easier. There are also two moorings in the Bay for larger yachts and motor cruisers which are not able to tie up to our jetty. Please note that we do not have a boat launching ramp. The nearest facilities are at Picton, or Anakiwa. Small dinghies and kayaks can however be launched by hand.
We have the facility to accept payment by cash, bank cards or credit cards. Camp fees can be settled at a specially designated pay station on site, or through our mobile EFTPOS facility.
