Animals
We have a number of domesticated animals on site including two pet alpacas (Ramos and Yani), and our resident donkeys Willow and Polly. Please approach these animals quietly, and refrain from feeding the donkey too much starchy products such as bread or biscuits. The odd apple is quite acceptable however. You may touch and pat them but remember to always approach the donkeys from the front, never from the rear.
Birdlife
A number of native birds thrive in and around the bay including wekas, bellbirds, native wood pigeons (kereru), tuis, and kingfishers to name but a few. On the water gannets, shags, shearwaters and other sea birds abound.
