Boating

Water Activties

Boating

Please note that we do not have a boat launching ramp, the nearest facilities are at Picton or Anakiwa. Small dinghies can however be launched by hand.

The mooring in the bay is not available for public use.

“Ride on” kayaks are available for hire. Ask the manager for information.

Boat trips and track transfers can be arranged with the managers.

Fishing

Fishing

Please check with the managers about the local fishing rules. There are several fishing charter operators in Picton. Please ask for details.

Swimming and diving

The clear, sheltered waters of Mistletoe Bay make it perfect for swimming, diving and snorkeling. We strongly advise the wearing of wet shoes or sandals when paddling in the shallows.Young children should always be supervised by an adult when swimming.

Do take extra care around the rocks and check the depth of the water before diving or jumping from the jetty, and stay well clear of boats entering or leaving the bay.
